Say you have a regular photo that you snapped with your digital camera or with your smartphone. But what you want is not a run-of-the-mill digital image, you want something with an artistic flair, like an oil painting or a pencil sketch. You can do precisely that, turn your image into an attractive work of art, with a bit of help from Snap Art.

Please note that Snap Art is not a standalone application. It needs to integrate with one of the following hosts: Adobe Photoshop CS4 or newer, Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 or newer, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 or newer. If you have any of these Adobe products on your machine, you’ll have no problems getting Snap Art up and running. Just download an installer, run it, and click through the setup wizard.

You should not have any problems getting started with Snap Art and the functionality it has to offer. Just in case you need some help, developer Alien Skin Software came up with several video tutorials and posted them online, on Snap Art’s official webpage. Go check them out, see what can be done with Snap Art. And speaking about what can be done with Snap Art, you may also want to check out the nice collection of examples the developer put together.

From a functionality point of view, you can expect to get the following from Snap Art: numerous preset styles to choose from (oil paint, crayon, watercolor, color pencil, and more), you can design your own style, see a before and after comparison when applying a style, layer masks, non-destructive edition, upload images to Flickr, create and run a batch action.

You have a 15-day trial period to evaluate the functionality Snap Art has to offer.

Snap Art is simply amazing! The ease of use is incredible and the results will astound you!
